Installing Siebel Charts

Siebel Charts software is installed with the Siebel Mobile Web Client and Developer Web Client. The associated Windows service starts automatically when a chart is accessed within the Siebel Web Client.

This task is a step in:

• Roadmap for Installing and Configuring Siebel Business Applications for a New Deployment
• Roadmap for Installing and Configuring Siebel Business Applications in an Upgrade Case (Existing Database)

NOTE:  As of Siebel Innovation Pack 2015, this procedure includes steps that apply a patch that provides Tomcat updates to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

To install Siebel Charts

1. Review the information in About Installing Siebel Charts.
2. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the Siebel image location for the current release. Then navigate to the directory where the installer is located. Navigate to Siebel_Image\Windows\Server_Ancillary\Visual_Mining_Netcharts_Server\lang\windows.

   where:

   • Siebel_Image is the directory for your version-specific Siebel network image, such as C:\Siebel_Install_Image\15.0.0.0.
   • lang is the three-letter code for the language of your Siebel Business Applications; for example, enu for U.S. English.
3. To start the NetCharts Server installer, double-click NetChartsServer4.6SiebelEdition.exe.
4. As you proceed from screen to screen using the installer, accept all of the applicable defaults, and accept all of the license agreements.
5. Perform the following steps to complete installation for Microsoft Windows. These steps apply a patch that provides Tomcat updates to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
   1. From the directory noted in Step 2, from which you ran the NetCharts Server installer, copy the file NCS1625.zip to the computer where you are installing NetCharts Server.
   2. Uncompress NCS1625.zip.
   3. In the NCS1625 directory, follow the directions in the file README.htm.
6. Restart your computer.
