This section describes known issues in the Oracle Commerce Cloud Service administration interface.

Promotions with no minimum-spend amount can be created with the API

When using the REST API to create a promotion, setting the spend_value to an empty string should return an error but does not. Instead, the promotion is created but cannot be updated in the administration interface.

Workaround: Delete the promotion and create a new one with a valid spend_value.

Clicking Cancel when working with payment gateways can cause fields to disappear

When working on the Payment Gateways tab in Payment Processing settings, clicking Cancel to close a page without saving settings can cause some fields in the UI to disappear.

Workaround: Refresh the page.

Chinese locales are not supported with Microsoft browsers on Windows 8 and Windows 10

If your computer is running Windows 8 or Windows 10 and you are accessing the Oracle Commerce Cloud Service administration interface with Microsoft IE or Microsoft Edge, you cannot display the administration interface in Chinese (Simplified) or Chinese (Traditional).

Workaround: Use a different browser.

Payment authorizations are not always voided when a transaction times out

If a payment gateway transaction times out, payment authorizations are not always voided, even if the order is not successfully submitted.

Workaround: Void the payment authorization via your payment processor. If you subscribe to the Oracle Commerce Cloud Service Agent Console, you can cancel the order on the Agent Console.

When the prices for all a product’s SKUs override and are higher than the inherited product list price, sorting products by price produces unexpected results

If you override the inherited product list price for all a product’s SKUs with a higher list price, then sort by price on a collection that contains that product, its place in the sorted list is based on the product price. The product’s place in the list should be based on the lowest SKU price.

Workaround: Do not make the list prices of all a product’s SKUs higher than their parent product’s list price.

The value of a property in the base product type overwrites the value of a property added to a custom product type when both properties have the same ID

Each property ID must be unique within your catalog, though the Oracle Commerce Cloud Service interface does not always prevent you from creating multiple properties with the same ID. If a property in the base product type and a custom property in a custom product type have the same property ID, the value of the property in the base product type always overwrites the value of the property in the custom product type.

Workaround: Make sure each property ID is unique within your catalog.

When using Chrome and Firefox, the Status column is not updated in the Developer area of Extensions (Setting tab) for delete operations

The flash symbol appears in the Status column of the Developer tab after an extension ID has been generated and the ext.json has been updated and uploaded to the Installed tab. Deactivating and deleting the extension widget, then refreshing the browser, should update the Status column once you revisit the Developer tab. However, the Status does not update for these delete operations.

Workaround: Use Internet Explorer for these operations.

Widget properties can be overwritten by elements containing their own JavaScript with the same name

Due to the nature in which element JavaScript is added to a widget, it is possible for existing widget properties to be overwritten.

For example: If a widget has a property called searchResults and an element called searchResults (which has its own JavaScript) was added to that widget, then the reference to the element JavaScript would overwrite the existing searchResults property.

Text Snippets are not displayed when English country-specific locales are set in the language picker

When en_US, en_GB, en_CA or en_AU are selected, the Text Snippet Type drop down view does not display and only the user assistance text is displayed.

Workaround: Ensure the language picker is set to English without specifying an English variant.

When adding an image to a product or collection in Firefox, pressing the ESC key closes both the operating system’s file-upload dialog and the product or collection modal dialog

When you upload individual images on the Media tab for a product or collection in Firefox, the operating system’s file-upload dialog launches so you can pick an image to upload. If you press the ESC key to close the file-upload dialog, the product or collection modal dialog also closes.

Workaround: Close the operating system’s file-upload dialog with the Cancel button.

Hidden files are included in the upload report when you upload a ZIP file created with a Mac

If you compress media files in a ZIP file with a Mac, a number of hidden files (a .DS Store file and a hidden file for each media file) are created in the ZIP. When you upload the ZIP file, the upload summary lists the hidden files as files with errors.

Workaround: Download the full report to see if any media files caused errors, or if all errors are related to hidden files.

A promotion name cannot contain more than 84 non-English characters

If you enter a promotion name of more than 84 characters in any language other than English, Oracle Commerce Cloud Service displays an error.

Workaround: Create a shorter name for the promotion.

‘Partial Report Unavailable’ error message is shown on applying filters in Promotions report

An error displays after multiple filters are applied in the Promotions report when no error has occurred.

Workaround: Try reducing the filters applied, for example remove Promotion Type or Promotion Name filters.

Not all promotions and coupons are listed in the Promotion Name/Coupon Code filter in the Promotions report

Within the Promotions report, not all promotions are displayed in the Promotion Name and/or Coupon Code filter.

Workaround: Remove all promotion filters, export and then search within the exported file for the information required.

Incorrect text is shown for the description in the Promotions report for the German locale

The Promotions report displays promotion description text incorrectly when the locale is set to German.

‘Returns & Exchanges’ text is not localized in Customer Service Overview report

After changing the locale in the Settings tab and navigating to the Customer Service Overview reporting page, the Returns & Exchanges section is not translated.

Text within Reporting is not localized as per the browser language setting (Windows 8, 10)

Reporting text is not localized, as per the browser language settings, when using Windows 8 or Windows 10.

The Customer Service Overview report metrics do not reflect the refund amount collected on exchanging a product in an order

Monetary refunded amounts are not reflected within the reporting data for exchanges in the Customer Service Overview report.

Products and promotion names omitted from the graph for products and promtion reports

Product and promotion names are not displayed when viewing the graph within both the Products and the Promotions report.
