4 Employees and Privileges

In Simphony, privileges determine the activities an employee can perform, the Enterprise Management Console (EMC) modules available to the employee, and the types of transactions the employee can process. You can set some privileges by the job title (for example, host, server, bartender, cashier, manager) and others by the task (for example, adding menu items, adding employees, adding reservations, and performing voids).

You can assign employees to roles based on the tasks they perform. Most workstation operators are associated with a single role (such as bartender or server).
