Creating Menu Items Classes for Prefixes

  1. In the EMC, select the Enterprise, click Descriptors and Condiment Group Names.
  2. Enter a group name to show in the workstation for the condiment prefixes, and click Save.
  3. Select the Enterprise, click Configuration and Menu Item Classes.
  4. Insert a new record and name it after a prefix (for example, ADD).
  5. Double-click the new record.
  6. On the General tab, select the Condiment Prefix Type that corresponds to the prefix menu item class that you created in Step 4:
    • 2 - No Prefix

    • 3 - Add Prefix

    • 4 - Sub Prefix

    • 5 - Plain Prefix

    • 6 - Reset Prefix

  7. Click the Options tab, and select 2 - ON = Condiment Menu Items; OFF = Regular Menu Items and 8 - Allow Menu Items in this Class to be Non-Priced.
  8. Click the Condiments Group tab and in the Member Condiment Groups section, select the condiment group that you created in Step 2.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Repeat Steps 4 through 9 to configure menu item classes for the remaining prefixes.
