Button: New Day
Window Branch:
- When this button is clicked the user informs the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS
application that a new days is to begin on branch level (incl. all profit
centers linked to the branch). Recordings only start on the new day from
the first transaction recorded on this day. This ensures that when the
store is not open, e.g. on a Sunday no recording period is opened.
- The switchover procedure is as follows:
- Click on button New Day. A window ("Are you sure? OK") is
opened and confirmation with "OK" implies that the data
switchover is required. Click on "OK".
- Then the profit centers linked to each branch
will appear in sequence in a window:
- Switch OK
Information that the switchover for the profit center has run
error-free.
- Profit center no.
No. of the profit center concerned.
- Date: DDMMYY
The new date after switchover. (The transferred data refers to
the previous Booking day. Please note that booking and calendar day can differ –
depending on the time button "New Day" was activated.
- Shift no.
No. of the new shift.
- Error messages
The information listed assumes that the switch was successful. Any
errors which occur will be shown in the first line. The message "Not allowed (time)" indicates that the
time the "New Day" was activated contradicts the entry in
"Date change from" in window "Branch" or "Profit
center". As it is only possible to advance one day ahead of the
system date, the message "Date too high" indicates that this
period has been exceeded.
Window Profit Center
- In the selected profit center the current day is
ended, but the new day is only opened with the next recording (see
information above).
- This button should be activated in window Branch if the day is to be ended in all profit centers.
The
button New Day is different to
