Description of the Code Key

For the registration operation, certain keys are required for the different posting functions. Since the number of keys on the keyboard is restricted, a <Code> key can be set up, with which different posting functions can be initiated.

With this code key, you can execute any key function by entering a code number. The different code numbers and their respective key functions are defined in a code table.

Setting up the Code Key

Do the following to set up <Code> keys in the system:

  1. Execute the maintenance program Keyboard and define a key with the <CODEFUNC> function.
  2. Assign this keyboard to the Op Module of this process unit.
  3. Create a table using the maintenance program Code Table with the desired key functions.
  4. Execute the update program Terminal and assign the previously defined code table to the terminal type.

By entering the code number via the <CODEFUNC> key, the defined key function for this number in the code table will be performed.

Example:
The assigned code table contains the following entries:

  1. PAYOUT
  2. TRANSFEROUT
  3. REPORT = 1
  4. REPORT = 2

These entries define that if No. 1 is entered via the <CODEFUNC> key, function Payout can be called up, with 2 function Transfer out is possible, from entries 3 and 4 a report with the numbers 1 and 2 stored in the system can be called up.
