The program description deals with the following:
The data for connection of a device, type Operating module old can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.
When programming the operating module old please ensure that the interface, the processing unit and a keyboard are linked. The operating module old (ADS 48) is connected to the COM A or COM C of the POS board. Use cable 49.100 201 to connect to interface S3 of the ADS 48.
Communications are established after program 05.IMG has been loaded on the ADS 48 (loading path "Floppy Disk"). Then re-start the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program.
The ADS 48 acts as an operating module after activation of the cashier program.

Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 chars.
Enter the name of the device in this field. Please ensure that the name assigned is easily identifiable (e.g. op.mod. Com3Proc6 for an operating module which is linked to processing unit 6 and is attached to COM2 of this system unit).

Enter the number of the Interface to which this device is/is to be connected. Please ensure that this interface has not already been assigned to another device.
If the number of the interface is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.

Enter the serial no. of the device in this field.
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999
Enter the no. of the keyboard which is to be linked to this operating module. A Keyboard must be stored in the system with the appropriate Function key assignment.
If the keyboard no. is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.
