Data Input in the Input Masks
Data is processed in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program with the help of update programs. After such a program has been called up the screen shows an entry mask for the appropriate program.
The entry mask of an update program allows for easy processing of data. Data can be entered via the entry mask, it can be checked and processed and printed out in reports.

Control elements
The layout of all entry masks is a standard to allow the user to find information quickly. Graphic control elements such as input fields, buttons, list fields and switches are shown in the same areas of the screen in each update program where possible.
Menus
Each update program has its own menus in the application window. These can be shown in the menu bar at the top of the screen directly under the title line.
Commands are found in menus Object, Process, Navigate, Window and Report and they provide help during the input of data and when navigating in a file or a file record.
Toolbar
In addition, the user can also carry out commands such as Search, Save, Delete, Printer, etc. by clicking on the symbols in the Toolbar.
