Adjusting the Dispatcher – 3^rd Example

3^rd example:
Another button for opening the window Payment Type is to be added to the dispatcher.
(1^st example: The program Receipt Transaction Head will be replaced by the program Customer.
2^nd example: The „MICROS“ symbol will be replaced by "your" company logo – a little dog.)

1. Program: Forms

• Go to System -> User Interface -> Forms.
• In order to accelerate the subsequent search, enter “2” in the field Language. By this, you select the English language.
• Enter MICROS Retail OSCAR POS in the field Window Title. Make sure the spelling is correct (case-sensitive!). You can use wildcards (e.g. OSC*). Click on the Search button (magnifying glass). The complete data record will be displayed then.
• In order to make sure you called up the correct screen page, activate the option “View Screen”. The selected screen – the menu dispatcher - will be displayed.
• Minimize the item mask to be able to see the window “Forms” again and deactivate the option “View Screen” to close the second dispatcher window

2. Program: Form Fields

• Open the window Form Fields by a click on the appropriate button.
• General notes:
  For the definition of a new button, fields of the types Box and Button must be created.
  Check at which place the button is to be inserted.
  In this example, the place will be the bottom margin. The so far last button (to start a program) in the original program dispatcher is the one for the terminal application. The corresponding field numbers are 340 and 350. The next occupied field number is 360.
• Select a free number between 350 and 360.
• Empty the screen mask and make the following entries:
• Field Type: Box
• Field number: 352
• Parent field: 120
• Field name: PaymentType
• Descriptor: Payment Type
• Otherwise accept the default values.
• Save your entries. Empty the screen mask again and make the following entries:
• Field Type: Button
• Field number: 354
• Parent field: 352
• Field name: PaymentType
• Descriptor: cashR48.xpm (exemplary graphic)
• Label Type: Pix map
• Command: RUN
• Parameter: PaymentType
• Otherwise accept the default entries.
• Save your entries. Close the open windows.
• In order to make the new dispatcher effective, close the application and start it again.
