Configuration of a Pack Quantity Unit

In the following, you will be informed about the essential parameter settings which are necessary for the configuration of a pack quantity unit. Further information, particularly on the fields, can be found in the relevant program descriptions.

1. Window Company
   Open the window Company.
• Assign a Special Price in the field Package Price. The price itself is to be defined in the sub-window Item -> Prices.
• Save your entries and close the window.
2. Window Item
   Open the window Item.
• Select the package item.
• Open the sub-window Sales via the appropriate button.
3. Sub-window Sales
• Assign a pack quantity unit. If no unit has been created yet, open the window Quantity Units via the button Pack qty. unit. An example of the maintenance of a pack quantity unit can be found in the chapter Configuration of the Quantity Unit "Kilograms" and the Base Unit "Grams".
• Close the sub-window.
4. Window Item
• Open the sub-window Prices via the appropriate button.
5. Sub-window Prices
• Select the price list that has been assigned to the company.
• Enter the price you have defined to be the package price in the window Company in the Special Price field.
• Close the window.
6. Window Item
• Save all entries.
7. Window Keys
   Go to System -> Configuration- >Keyboard -> Keys.
• Create a key with the key code PACKAGE.
• Save your entries.
8. Note on the booking in the Sales program
• Previous to selling a package, you have to press the key with the key code PACKAGE.
