Scan Items To Pick Screen

Purpose: Use this screen to scan each unit of each item on a delivery or pickup order and verify that the items were picked.

All items eligible for scanning? Only items on the order whose next action is Pick are eligible for scanning on this screen. To see all open items on the order, regardless of next action, click View Order Detail in the upper right to advance to the View Order Detail Screen.

How to display this screen: Enter a valid order number, with one or more items eligible for picking, at the Order To Be Picked Screen screen.

Note:            This screen is available only if your system administrator has selected the Scan pick verification method.

Item number format: The item number you scan into the Item # field needs to be:

your item code, if your system administrator has selected an item scan type of System Product

the item’s UPC number, if your system administrator has selected an item scan type of UPC

To scan:

Scan the item number or UPC, as described above.

         If you are scanning by:

item number, click Add to add the unit

UPC, the unit is added automatically when you scan it

Note:  If your entry matches the number of digits specified by your system administrator as the length of the UPC, and doesn’t match an item on the order that is eligible to pick, the screen displays an error message. You can use the View All Open Items Window to verify the items on the order eligible for picking.

You need to scan the full ordered quantity of each item, but no more than that. A check mark (green_check.png) indicates that the full ordered quantity of an item has been scanned.

If necessary, click Remove for an item that you scanned in error.

When you are done scanning the units that you are verifying as picked, click DONE at the bottom of the screen. If:

All eligible units have been scanned, the Pick Order Window opens; otherwise,

If a partial quantity of the units of an item have been scanned, or if the full quantity of any items that are grouped together haven’t all been scanned, the screen displays an error (see Why are some items on an order grouped together? for information on grouped items)

If not all eligible units have been scanned, but you have scanned the full ordered quantity of any scanned items or grouped items, the Pick Order Warning Window opens

You can also click View All Open Items in the upper right to open the View All Open Items Window.
