Use OROB Status Inquiry List Web Service (M05)

Purpose: Use this screen to indicate whether pick slip generation sends a status list inquiry message to Order Broker for all eligible retail pickup and delivery orders rather than a separate status inquiry request for each order.

Yes/No field: Select this field to have pick slip generation send the status list request message to Order Broker for all retail pickup and delivery orders that are eligible to have pick slips generated based on their status, item availability, and pick slip selection criteria.

Checking for canceled orders: Pick slip generation uses this message as an efficient way to check on whether any of the retail pickup or delivery orders eligible for pick slips have been canceled by the originating system. If an order has been canceled, no pick slip is generated; instead, the system puts the order on hold using the Order Broker Hold Reason (Cancel) (L02) system control value.

Leave this field unselected to have pick slip generation send a separate status inquiry request messages to Order Broker for individual retail pickup or delivery orders rather than sending the status list request.

Message version 4.0 required: Even if this system control value is selected, pick slip generation sends individual status inquiry requests rather than the status list request message unless the Message Version Number specified in the cwdirectcp_locate.properties file is 4.0, because earlier versions of Order Broker do not support the status list request.

Use streamlined allocation? If there are any retail pickup or delivery orders eligible for pick slip generation, then the generation program can use streamlined allocation only if this system control value is selected and the Message Version Number specified in the cwdirectcp_locate.properties file is 4.0.
