Attaching Items Outside of Stay Dates

You can attach packages/inventory items to reservations outside of the guest’s stay dates. When you attach packages/inventory items, one night must overlap with the guest stay dates. Before attaching package/items outside of stay dates:

Configure inventory items to enable them for Outside of Stay Dates
Create packages consisting of inventory items enabled for Outside of Stay Dates

Attaching Items

To attach inventory items to reservations outside of stay dates:

Select Manage Reservations in the Application menu.
Search and select a reservation.
Select Packages / Items.
Select the Inventory Items accordion panel, and then select New.
Select the hyperlinked quantity number of a package item that has at least one date within the reservation’s Arrival/Departure dates.
On the pop-up screen, enter the quantity needed and adjust the dates, if needed.
Save changes.

Set the following OPERA Controls in the Reservations group to attach items to reservations outside of stay dates:

Set the Item Inventory function to Active.
Set Allow Inventory Items Outside Of Stay Dates function to On.
