Chapter 22: Working with Mail/Call Codes (WMCC)
Purpose: Use the Mail/Call Code file to define codes that specify how often, and under what conditions, you will call or send mail to customers. You can then use the mail or call codes assigned to customers as part of your house list selection criteria. See Marketing Chapter 36: Working with Drops (WHLS) for more information on working with house list selections.
You can define mail and call codes for sold-to, ship-to, and individual customers. See Part C: Creating and Updating Customers for more information on working with different customer types.
Note: The system defaults the value in the Mail field (either Y or N) to the Mail code field when you create or change a sold-to customer. (The Mail field itself defaults from the Default Mail Name (D10) field in the System Control file.) For this reason, you should define Y and N as valid mail codes in the Mail/Call Code file, so that the system will accept the default as a valid value in the Mail code field.
