Chapter 2: Working with Frequency Codes (WFRQ)

Frequency codes represent the pick frequency for an item. You can assign these informational codes to items and SKUs.

How to display this screen: Enter WFRQ in the Fast Path field at the top of any menu or select this option from a menu.

Field

Description

Freq (Frequency code)

A code that classifies the performance of an item.

Alphanumeric, 1 position; optional.

Pick % (Pick percent)

The percentage of picks generated for an item.

Numeric, 5 positions with a 2-place decimal; optional.

Screen Option

Procedure

Create a new code

Press F6 to advance to the Create Frequency Screen.

Change a frequency code

Enter 2 next to a code to advance to the Change Frequency Screen.

Delete a frequency code

Enter 4 next to a code to delete it.

Note: You can delete this code even if it is assigned to an item. The next time you maintain the item you will receive a message indicating that the code assigned to the item is not found.

Display a frequency code

Enter 5 next to a code to advance to the Display Frequency Screen.

Create Frequency Screen

To create: At the Work with Frequency Codes Screen, press F6.

Field

Description

Freq (Frequency code)

This user-defined code classifies the performance of an item based on the number of picks generated for the item over a month's time.

Alphanumeric, 1 position.

Create screen: required.

Change screen: display-only.

Pick % (Pick slip percentage)

The percentage of picks generated for an item over a month's time that are required for an item to "earn" the frequency code.

Example:

100.00 (represents 100%)

010.00 (represents 10%)

Numeric, 5 positions with a 2 place decimal; required.

Change Frequency Screen

To change: Enter 2 next to a code at the Work with Frequency Codes Screen to display the Change Frequency Code screens. At this screen, you can change any information except the frequency code. See Create Frequency Screen for field descriptions.

Display Frequency Screen

To display: Enter 5 next to a code to advance to the Display Frequency Code screen. You cannot change any information on this screen. See Create Frequency Screen for field descriptions.
