Chapter 55: Batch Affinity Preference Updates (MBAP)

Purpose: Use the Batch Affinity Preference Updates menu option to flag for an affinity preference all customers who have ordered items linked to a specific attribute value, or to unset the flags when you wish to return all customers to their previous statuses.

Example: If you are running a special promotion on Linen items, you may wish to flag all customers who have ever ordered a Linen item, so that you can upsell them in order entry during the time you run the promotion.

When You Run the Batch Affinity Preference Update Function for an attribute value, the system will flag all customers who have ordered items linked to this value, but who have not ordered enough to qualify as having a preference. Records for customers who are already flagged for this preference will not be changed.
