You can apply an alert to a control point or control group when you create a subscription. When the subscription is run based upon the schedule defined, the exception alerts are displayed on the Alerts page.
To add an alert to a control point:
Browse to the folder that contains the control point for which to create a subscription.
Depending on your display:
Click the Subscriptions link below the report icon.
Click the Subscriptions icon in the Actions column.
Click the Add Control Subscription link.
Select the Display exception alerts on the Alerts page check box.
Make the remaining selections for the subscription and click OK.
