You can specify display and other options for a Grid/Graph or widget using the Widget options in the Properties and Formatting dialog box.
Note: The Widget options are displayed in the Properties and Formatting dialog box only if you select a Grid/Graph or widget.
Widget Selection
Widget: Determine how a Grid/Graph
or widget is displayed.
For documents, widgets are interactive
graphs that dynamically update when you select a new set of data
to view. Select a widget from the drop-down list to display a
Grid/Graph as a specific type of widget. For example, if you have
a Grid/Graph and want to convert it into a Heat Map widget, select
Heat Map from this drop-down list. The Grid/Graph is converted
into a Heat Map widget. Select None to display the Grid/Graph
normally.
Note: The Grid/Graph you turn into a widget must follow
the data and template requirements for that type of widget. For
example, a Gauge widget requires one attribute on its widget template's
rows and one attribute on the columns. Therefore, any Grid/Graph
you convert into a Gauge widget must have the required objects
on its template. If it does not, the Grid/Graph is not displayed
correctly as a widget. These requirements are detailed in the
help topic for each type of widget. For a list of widget types,
see Providing Flash-based analysis and interactivity:
Widgets.
Alternative Display: Determines how a widget is displayed if it cannot be displayed as a widget in a particular display mode. The options are:
Show Grid or Graph: The widget displays as a grid report or a graph report.
Show Placeholder: A placeholder displays in place of the widget, with a message stating that the widget cannot be displayed.
Hide Grid or Graph: The
widget is not displayed.
Note: When a widget is displayed in Flash Mode, or on
an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, only the Show
Grid or Graph option is available. If you specify another
alternative display option, the widget still displays as a
grid report or graph report.
Display widget in: Determine whether the widget is displayed as a widget in different display modes, such as in Flash Mode or on an iPhone with XBR Ingenium mobile. Select the check box for the display mode in which you want to display the widget, or clear the check box to display the widget as specified in the Alternative Display option above. The Will render as column updates to list how the widget is displayed in each display mode.
Flash: Specify how the widget displays in Flash Mode in XBRi.
iPhone: Specify how the widget displays on an iPhone with the XBR Ingenium mobile app.
iPad: Specify how the widget displays on an iPad with XBR Ingenium mobile app.
Android Phone: Specify how the widget displays on an Android phone with XBR Ingenium mobile app.
Android Tablet: Specify how the widget displays on an Android tablet with XBR Ingenium mobile app.
DHTML: Specify how the widget displays in Interactive Mode in XBRi.
PDF: Specify how the widget displays when exported to a PDF document.
Excel: Specify how the widget displays when exported to an Excel spreadsheet.
Full Screen: Determine whether to size the widget to take up the entire screen when viewed on the iPhone or Android device. If you choose to display the widget using the entire screen, any additional grids, graphs, or widgets in the document layout will not be displayed.
Widget Properties: Specify widget options, such as the order in which columns are displayed in an Interactive Grid widget, or how map markers are displayed in a Map widget.
Secondary Data Providers: Specify
a Grid/Graph in the document to use as a secondary data provider
for the widget. This option is only available for widgets that
use multiple data providers.
You can also display rounded corners on lines and rectangles. Rounded corners are visible in Flash Mode only. In other display modes, rounded corners display as square, right-angle corners. For steps, see below:
To control the display of rounded corners
Open a document in Design or Editable Mode.
Right-click the rounded rectangle to format and select Properties and Formatting. The Properties and Formatting dialog box opens.
From the left, select Flash.
Use the Distance slider to determine the extent to which a rounded corner is displayed in Flash Mode. To emphasize the rounded corners, move the slider further to the right.
Determine a radius for the corners. The range is 1 - 20. A larger radius produces a more rounded corner.
By default, all four corners are rounded. To round the top corners only, select the Top Corners Only check box.
Click OK to apply the changes.
