Your History List is an area  where you can store the results of Visual Insight quick dashboards. You can add a quick dashboard to the History List in the following ways:

Quick dashboard results do not remain in the History List indefinitely. The number of results that each user can have in the History List and the length of time they remain there are defined by your administrator.

Prerequisite

You must have the Edit Dashboard and Run Dashboard privileges.

To view a quick dashboard stored in your History List

  1. Select History List from the Auto Delivery menu or the home page. The History List folder is displayed, with a list of reports, documents, and quick dashboards that have been added to the History List. The status of each quick dashboard is listed in the Status column, as follows:

Ready: The execution of the quick dashboard is complete.

Waiting in Queue: The quick dashboard has not yet executed. It is executed when all objects ahead of it in the queue are completed or removed.

Error: The quick dashboard execution process returned an error or was invalid. Click the link to see the error page. If the quick dashboard can still execute successfully, you may be sent to the wait page while it executes. Some reasons for an invalid quick dashboard include a quick dashboard that has been removed or changed in the system, has problems with its definition, or contains errors of another type.

  2. You can click the Refresh my History List icon to update all current statuses.

  3. You can sort items in the History List by Name, Status, or Message Creation Time. Click the sort triangle in either the Name, Status, or Message Creation Time column headings. The reports, documents, and quick dashboards in the History List are sorted according to the selected column heading. Click again to reverse the sort order.

  4. You can see which report or Intelligent Cube is used as the dataset for a quick dashboard in the History List. Select the Show children reports for documents icon at the top left of the History List. A list of reports is displayed for each document and quick dashboard in the History List.
