Scheduling a Quick Dashboard to be Sent to the History List

A History List is a folder where you can store reports, documents, and Visual Insight quick dashboards. You can send a quick dashboard to the History List on a specific schedule. To do so, you must subscribe to the quick dashboard, as described in the steps below.

Prerequisites

You must have Edit Dashboard and Run Dashboard privileges.

To send a quick dashboard to the History List on a schedule

Click the name of the quick dashboard to run it.
From the quick dashboard toolbar, click the Schedule Delivery to History List icon . The History List Subscription dialog box opens.
Type a name for the subscription in the Name field.
From the Schedule drop-down list, select a schedule or event to use to send the quick dashboard to the History List.
To send the quick dashboard to the History List immediately after creating the subscription, select the Run subscription immediately check box.
Expand the Advanced Options.
To ensure that newer versions of the quick dashboard overwrite previous versions of the quick dashboard in the History List, select the The new scheduled report will overwrite versions of itself check box.
You can select a date after which you want to stop delivering the quick dashboard to the History List. To do this, select the Do not deliver after check box, then click the calendar and select the date on which you want the subscription to expire.
To have a delivery notification e-mail sent to you when the quick dashboard is sent, select the Send notification to e-mail address check box.
Click OK to save your changes and close the History List Subscription dialog box. The file will be delivered to the specified History List on the specified schedule.

To verify that you are subscribed to the quick dashboard, select My Subscriptions from the Auto Delivery menu or the home page. The subscription appears in the History List Subscriptions section.
