Add the Complete Basic Information Task Step

Note: This topic is part of the Custom Idea Workflow: Example series.

This step in the workflow will begin as soon as an idea is submitted. The person assigned to this step, designated in the workflow configuration, will receive a workflow action to complete the New Idea Review form.

To add the Complete Basic Information Task step:

  1. On the Workflow Design toolbar, select Add a task step, and drag it onto the workflow design canvas.
  2. Position the new step beneath the Start step icon.
  3. In the Step area, in the Name field, enter Complete Basic Information.
  4. Select Add , and then select Form Task.
  5. In the Form Task Details dialog box, in the Name field, enter New Idea Review form, and then select OK.
  6. On the workflow design canvas, in the Start step icon, select Draw Path icon Draw connector line, and then select the Complete Basic Information step icon.
  7. Select Save.
