Uninstalling Oracle Business Intelligence Schemas from Microsoft SQL Server

  1. Uninstall Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition.
  2. Navigate to \RCU\BIN\ from the installation archive, and then double-click the rcu batch file to start the Oracle Repository Creation Utility (RCU).
  3. On the Drop Repository screen, select Drop.
  4. On the Database Connection Details screen, enter the database information, and then enter credentials for a DBA or SYSDBA account.
  5. Click OK after the RCU wizard checks for prerequisites.
  6. On the Select Components screen, make sure Metadata Services and Business Intelligence Platform are selected, as shown in the following screenshot:

  7. Click OK to confirm schema removal despite affecting current applications, and after the wizard checks for prerequisites.
  8. Click Drop, verify the completion summary, and then click Close.
  9. Using a database connectivity tool, verify that the ORCLRNA_BIPLATFORM and ORCLRNA_MDS tables no longer exist.
  10. Delete or set optionvalue=’true’ for the record in the CORE_OPTIONS table with the module name obieeRcu.
  11. Navigate to the folder that you stored database files and verify that the ORCLRNA_RCU primary data file and the ORCLRNA_RCU_log transaction log file have been removed.
