Filter WLST alias values so it matches with the online or offline environment

Parameters:

map - All WLST values, not filtered

environment - Online of Offline environment object

Returns:

map with the filtered online or offline WLST values

isValidUrl

public static boolean isValidUrl(String url)

Validate the WebLogic AdminServer or Managed Server url

Parameters:

url - The WebLogic t3 url

Returns:

boolean, true is a valid WebLogic t3 url

mergeSettings

protected static List<Setting> mergeSettings(List<Setting> existing,
                                             List<Setting> discovered)

Merge the existing tuning parameter settings with the discovered settings

Parameters:

existing - Tuning parameters which need to be merged

discovered - Discovered Tuning parameters which has the latest values

Returns:

updated tuning parameter settings

normalizeFile

public static String normalizeFile(String file)

Normalizes a path or file, removing double slashes, removing double forwardd slashes convert to unix style with forward slashes, separator. Optional remove the latest slash

Parameters:

file - a full path to a file or directory

Returns:

a normalized string

refreshSettings

protected static List<Setting> refreshSettings(List<Setting> existing,
                                               List<Setting> discovered)

Update existing tuning parameter settings with their latest discovered value

Parameters:

existing - Tuning parameters which need to be refreshed

discovered - Discovered Tuning parameters which has the latest values

Returns:

updated tuning parameter settings

updateTuningParameters

Return all tuning parameter settings from a discovered domain object

domainObject - with all the online or offline discovered domain object attributes

objectMappings - Map of object attributes

parameterAlias - Map of all the requested,wanted online or offline attributes

Returns:

all the requested tuning parameters

checkIfLocalHost

public static boolean checkIfLocalHost(String hostname)

Test whether a given hostname is same as the host running on

Parameters:

hostname - host name to compare against the current host

Returns:

true if hostname is same as current host or if input is null

checkIfLocalHost

public static boolean checkIfLocalHost(List<String> hostNames)

Test whether a given list of hostnames / addresses is same as the host running on

Parameters:

hostNames - list of hostnames to compare against the current host

Returns:

true if any of the given hostnames is same as the current host

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if input is null
