What's New in This Release

This chapter describes new product features.

NOTE: Siebel Innovation Pack 2017 is a continuation of the Siebel 8.1/8.2 release.

This guide has been updated to correct and remove obsolete product and component terms.

Table 1 lists the changes in this revision of the documentation to support this release of Siebel.

Using Siebel Search in Siebel Open UI	New topic. Using Siebel Search, you can perform a basic search operation, an advanced find operation, and an Oracle Secure Enterprise Search advanced search operation.
Administering FTP Indexing Enabling FTP Indexing	Modified topics. From Siebel Innovation Pack 2016 onwards, URL credentials are disabled. As a result, HTTP indexing is not supported in Oracle Secure Enterprise Search. Only FTP indexing is supported.
Setting Up Secure FTP Indexing for Siebel Search	Obsolete topic. Secure FTP indexing is not supported. Siebel does not support secure FTP (SFTP or FTPS) connections with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search.
Oracle Secure Enterprise Search Changes Required for EAI to Support HTTPS	New topic. As of Siebel Innovation Pack 2017, the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) URL has changed from HTTP to HTTPS.
