Updating CAL Client Workstations

1. Power on the workstation. The workstation connects to the Enterprise server and checks for application updates.

   Beginning with Simphony version 2.10, prerequisite software is pre-loaded in a local directory on new Oracle MICROS workstations, rather than downloading the prerequisite software from the Enterprise through CAL. This reduces the time between opening a new Oracle MICROS workstation and signing into the Simphony POS client for the first time.

2. The CAL installs the packages according to the deployment order specified in the EMC. The workstation might restart several times.
