Pre-installation Requirements

The minimum patch level needs to be OFSDF Application Pack v8.1.1.1.0.

Installing this Release

To install the release, follow these steps:

NOTE

The OFSDF Application Pack Release 8.1.1.1.1 patch is applicable only for the RDBMS mode of installation.

Ensure you download, extract, and upload the OFSDF Data Model Release 8.1.1.1.1 and then proceed with the OFSDF Application Pack Release 8.1.1.1.2 installation. The OFSDF Data Model Release v8.1.1.1.1 (erwin files) is available on My Oracle Support (MOS) in the patch 33040060. See the Readme available with the patch for further instructions about downloading and extracting this patch.

1. Log in to My Oracle Support (MOS), and navigate to the Patches & Updates tab.

2. Search for the OFSDF Application Pack Patch ID 33017858.

3. Download the 33017858_GENERIC.zip archive file and copy it to your OFSAA server in the Binary mode.

4. Shut down all the OFSAAI services.

5. Create a new directory for the patch 33017858_GENERIC.zip archive file using the following command:

mkdir 33017858

6. Copy the 33017858_GENERIC.zip archive file into the 33017858 directory.

7. Extract the contents of the patch archive file using the following command:

unzip -a <name of the file to be unzipped>

For example: unzip -a 33017858_GENERIC.zip

NOTE

The "-a" option is mandatory to unzip the patch archive file. Before installing the package, if you notice the error message “unzip: not found [No such file or directory]”, contact your UNIX Administrator to resolve the issue.

8. Assign the RWX or 775 permission to the 33017858 directory by executing the command:

chmod 755 33017858

9. Navigate to the <>/appsLibConfig/conf directory.

10. In the params.conf file, update the UPLOAD_MODEL parameter value to 0 as the Data Model upload is performed as a prerequisite by installing and uploading the Data Model patch ID 33040060.

11. Navigate to the <>/OFS_FSDF/bin directory.

12. Execute the following setup command:

./setup.sh

13. Verify the patch installation logs in the following directory and contact My Oracle Support (MOS) if there are any errors:

<>/OFS_BFND/logs

14. Generate the application EAR or WAR file and redeploy the application in the configured Web Application Server.

15. After successful deployment, restart all the OFSAAI services.
