Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel

The Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK) is a Linux kernel built by Oracle and supported through Oracle Linux support. Its focus is performance, stability, and minimal backports by tracking the mainline source code as closely as is practical. UEK is well-tested and used to run Oracle's Engineered Systems, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and large enterprise deployments for Oracle customers.

Oracle provides certifications for hardware that is compatible with Oracle Linux and UEK. Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 7

UEK R7 is based on the upstream 5.15.0 kernel release with additional patches and enhancements.

Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 6

UEK R6 is based on the upstream 5.4.17 kernel release with additional patches and enhancements.

Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 5

UEK R5 is based on the upstream 4.14.35 kernel release with additional patches and enhancements.

Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Release 4

UEK R4 is based on the upstream 4.1.12 kernel release with additional patches and enhancements.
