Restoring the Saved Configuration

Saving and restoring the configuration is required when a control domain that runs the Oracle Solaris 10 OS is re-installed with the Oracle Solaris 11.4 OS.

After the Oracle Solaris OS installation completes, restore the configuration from the tar file that you saved in Saving the Existing Configuration.

How to Restore the Saved Configuration

Restoring this configuration re-creates any unbound domains, autosave information, and bootsets from your previous configuration.

Disable the ldmd daemon.
```
primary# svcadm disable ldmd
```

Restore the tar file to the /var/share/ldomsmanager directory.

primary# cp filename.tar /var/tmp
primary# cd /var/share/ldomsmanager
primary# tar xvf /var/tmp/filename.tar

Enable the ldmd daemon.
```
primary# svcadm enable ldmd
```
