Saving the Existing Configuration

If you have domains configured on your system, first save the configuration so that you can restore it after installing the Oracle Solaris OS.

How to Save the Existing Configuration

1. Save your configuration to the SP.

   primary# ldm add-config config-name

2. Save your domain constraints.

   primary# ldm list-constraints -x >/var/opt/SUNWldm/filename.xml

3. Save the contents of the /var/opt/SUNWldm directory.

   primary# cd /var/opt/SUNWldm
   primary# tar cvf filename.tar .

4. Copy filename.tar to external storage.
