Purging Customer Affinity Tables (MPAF)
Purpose: Use the Purge Customer Affinity menu option to delete Customer Affinity Preference tables for customers who have not ordered affinity preference items for the length of time you specify.
Example: A customer qualifies as having a preference for Linen, but has not ordered any item linked to this value for more than a year. You may wish to stop upselling Linen items to this customer. When you run the Purge Customer Affinity function, specifying a date one year earlier than the current date, the Customer Affinity Preference table for this customer will be deleted, and the customer will no longer qualify as having a preference for Linen. The Select Affinity Items Window, which you might view in order entry if this customer qualifies for any other preference, will not display Linen items for upselling.
