Work with PayPal Properties Screen

Use this screen to define credentials for the PayPal Direct Connection Integration.

How to display this screen: Enter PPOP in the Fast path field or select Work with PayPal System Properties from a menu.

When you first advance to the Work with PayPal System Properties (PPOP) menu option, the system automatically creates the PayPal credential properties for each company and entity. In addition, the properties are also created at the system level.

• To define PayPal credentials for a specific company and entity, the system appends the company code and entity code to the end of the property name, removing any leading zeros. For example, if your company code is 001 and your entity code is 002, the property names are PAYPAL.CLIENT_ID_1_2 and PAYPAL.CLIENT_SECRET_1_2.

• To define PayPal credentials for a specific company, the system appends the company code to the end of the property name, removing any leading zeros. For example, if your company code is 001, the property names are PAYPAL.CLIENT_ID_1 and PAYPAL.CLIENT_SECRET_1.

• The settings for the PAYPAL.CLIENT_ID and PAYPAL.CLIENT_SECRET define the PayPal credentials at the system level.

Note: The PAYPAL.CLIENT_ID and PAYPAL.CLIENT_SECRET settings are different from the API user name, API password, and API signature settings on the second Authorization Service screen in Work with Authorization Services (WASV). These fields are no longer used by the PayPal integration.

When connecting to PayPal, the system uses the following hierarchy to determine which PayPal credentials to use:

• Use PayPal credentials for the specified entity.

• If PayPal credentials are not defined at the entity level, use PayPal credentials for the specified company.

• If PayPal credentials are not defined at the company level, use PayPal credentials for the system.

Column sort: You can sort on any column on this screen by clicking the column name. An arrow pointing up displays next to the field when the values for the field display in ascending sequence; an arrow pointing down displays next to the field when the values for the field display in descending sequence.
