Printing the Stock Aging Report (STAG)

Purpose: The Stock Aging report lists all items (by vendor and/or warehouse) that are older than a given number of days.

How the system ages stock: The system places stock in 6 aging buckets. In order to determine which items it should place in each bucket, the system looks at the stock's inventory transaction history records. The search starts with the most recent increase for that item/location, and then works its way to the last increase on file.

The system does the following if it finds an inventory transaction record:

• looks for the most recent increase, and checks the date of the transaction

• checks the number of units involved in the transaction.

• puts the stock into the appropriate aging bucket

• provides a cost for the transaction

If the system does not find an inventory transaction record, it puts the stock into the over 120 days aging bucket.
