Work with Location Bin Types (WLBT)

Location bin types identify the type of bins you can assign to a location, such as double width or pallet.

Use Work with Location Bin Types to create, change, and delete location bin types.

Use Creating and Maintaining Locations (WLOC) to assign a location bin type to a location.

Work with Location Bin Type Screen

Purpose: Use this screen to work with location bin types.

How to display this screen: Enter WLBT in the Fast path field at the top of any menu or select Work with Location Bin Types from a menu.

Field	Description
Bin Type	A code that represents a location bin type. Enter a full or partial location bin type and select OK to display location bin types beginning with your entry. Alphanumeric, 4 positions; optional.
Description	A description of the location bin type. Enter a full or partial location bin type and select OK to display location bin types that contain your entry. Alphanumeric, 30 positions; optional.

Screen Option	Procedure
Create a location bin type	Select Create to advance to the Create Location Bin Type Screen.
Change a location bin type	Select Change for a location bin type to advance to the Change Location Bin Type screen. See Create Location Bin Type Screen for a description of the fields on this screen.
Delete a location bin type	Select Delete for a location bin type to advance to a Confirm Delete window. Select Delete to delete the location bin type; otherwise, select Exit. Note: When you delete a location bin type, the system does not remove the location bin type from any locations. You must use Creating and Maintaining Locations (WLOC) to assign a new location bin type to the locations.

Purpose: Use this screen to create a location bin type.

How to display this screen: Select Create on the Work with Location Bin Type Screen.
