Purpose: You can review the following information using RF Inquiry.
Use the RF Inquiry screen to select the information you wish to review.
How to display this screen: Select option 1. Inquiry Menu at the RF MAINT MENU Screen and select OK or press Enter; see RF Screen Layout.

Select option 4. Item Inquiry by UPC and select OK or press Enter to advance to the Item Inq/UPC Screen; see Item Inquiry by UPC. |
Purpose: Use LPN Inquiry to review information on an LPN. This information consists of the LPN’s:
• warehouse
• location
• item/SKU
• quantity
Secured feature: The Allow Access to RF Inquiry (A53) secured feature controls access to this option.
How to display this screen: Select option 1. LPN Inquiry at the RF Inquiry Screen and select OK or press Enter; see RF Screen Layout.
Cursor placement: When you first advance to this screen, the system places the cursor in the Company field.
1. Scan the LPN barcode on the RF LPN Label or manually complete the Company and LPN fields and select OK or press Enter. To scan the LPN barcode on the LPN label correctly, the cursor on the screen must be in the Company field.
2. The system validates your entry and displays the LPN's item/SKU and its current warehouse, location, and quantity.

A code for the company associated with the LPN. The current company defaults, but you can override it. Scanning the LPN Barcode on the LPN Label To scan the LPN barcode on the RF LPN Label correctly, the cursor on the screen must be in the Company field. The system updates this field when you scan the LPN barcode; otherwise, you will need to manually complete the Company and LPN fields. Numeric, 3 positions; required. |
LPN |
The LPN you wish to review. The system updates this field when you scan the LPN code; otherwise, you will need to manually complete the Company and LPN fields. Numeric, 6 positions; required. |
Warehouse unlabeled field to the left of the Loc field. |
A code for the warehouse where the LPN currently resides. The warehouse code defaults when you scan the LPN code or manually complete the Company and LPN fields. Numeric, 3 positions; display-only. |
Loc Location |
A code for the location where the LPN currently resides. The location code defaults when you scan the LPN code or manually complete the Company and LPN fields. Alphanumeric, 7 positions; display-only. |
Itm Item |
A code for the item associated with the LPN. The item code defaults when you scan the LPN code or manually complete the Company and LPN fields. Alphanumeric, 12 positions; display-only. |
SKU |
The SKU of the item associated with the LPN. The SKU code defaults when you scan the LPN code or manually complete the Company and LPN fields. Alphanumeric, three 14-position fields; display-only. |
QTY Quantity |
The quantity of the item/SKU associated with the LPN. The quantity defaults when you scan the LPN code or manually complete the Company and LPN fields. Numeric, display-only. |

The company whose number you entered has a system control value related to RF with a setting that is incompatible with your current company. |
Invalid LPN Number |
The LPN number you entered does not exist in the current company. |
LPN Required |
The LPN field is blank. |
Unauthorized Item |
Your user class is excluded from working with the vendor who provides this item. See Setting Up User Classes (WUCL). |
Purpose: Use Item Inquiry to inquire about an item by entering its item number and SKU code. Item inquiry allows you to review information on an item/SKU within a specified warehouse and company. This information consists of:
• locations where the item is stored
• quantity in each location
• whether the location is pickable
• location type
Note: You can also inquire about an item by entering its UPC barcode; see Item Inquiry by UPC.
Secured feature: The Allow Access to RF Inquiry (A53) secured feature controls access to this option.
How to display this screen: Select option 2. Item Inquiry at the RF Inquiry Screen and select OK or press Enter; see RF Screen Layout.
Cursor placement: When you first advance to this screen, the system places the cursor in the Itm field.
1. Enter the company where the item is located in the Cmp field. The current company defaults, but you can override it.
2. Enter the warehouse where the item is located in the Whs field.
• If the Default Primary Warehouse in RF (G32) system control value is unselected, the warehouse code defined in the Default Warehouse (A04) system control value defaults, but you can override it.
• If the Default Primary Warehouse in RF (G32) system control value is selected, the item’s primary warehouse defaults once you scan the item barcode on the RF Item Label or manually complete the Itm and SKU fields.
3. Scan the item barcode on the RF Item Label or manually complete the Itm and SKU fields. To scan the item barcode on the Item label correctly, the cursor on the screen must be in the Itm field. Note: You can also manually enter the short SKU code defined for the item/SKU in the Itm field. If you enter the short SKU code, the system automatically updates the Itm field with the item code, the SKU field with the SKU code, and the Whs with the warehouse code defined in the Default Primary Warehouse in RF (G32) system control value when you select OK or press Enter.
4. Select OK or press Enter to validate your entries. Correct any errors and select OK or press Enter again to validate your changes.
5. Select OK or press Enter again. The system advances you to the Item Inquiry Display Screen where you can review the locations where the item is stored in the selected company and warehouse.

Itm Item |
A code for the item you wish to review. Item codes are defined in and validated against the Item table. Scanning the Item Barcode on the Item Label To scan the item barcode on the Item label correctly, you must first position the cursor on the screen in the Itm field. Using the Short SKU Code You can also manually enter the short SKU code defined for the item/SKU in the Itm field. If you enter the short SKU code, the system automatically updates the Itm field with the item code and the SKU field with the SKU code when you select OK or press Enter. Alphanumeric, 12 positions; required. |
SKU |
The SKU of the item you wish to review. SKU codes are defined in and validated against the SKU table. Alphanumeric, three 4-position fields; required if the Item contained SKUs. |

Qty (Quantity) |
The quantity on-hand in this location. Numeric, 6 positions; display-only. |
P (Pickable?): |
Indicates whether the location is pickable. Valid values are: Y = The location is pickable. N = The location is not pickable. Alphanumeric, 1 position; display-only. |
T (Type) |
The type of the location. Valid values are: P = Primary S = Secondary T = Temporary B = Bulk Alphanumeric, 1 position; display-only. |

Purpose: Use Bin Inquiry to review the item/location records for a particular location. The information displayed consists of:
• item/SKU codes
• quantity in the location
Secured feature: The Allow Access to RF Inquiry (A53) secured feature controls access to this option.
How to display this screen: Select option 3. Bin Inquiry at the RF Inquiry Screen and select OK or press Enter; see RF Screen Layout.
Cursor placement: When you first advance to this screen, the system places the cursor in the Loc field.
1. Complete the Cmp field. The current company defaults, but you can override it.
2. Complete the Whs field. The warehouse code defined in the Default Warehouse (A04) system control value defaults, but you can override it.
3. Scan the location barcode on the RF Bin Location Label or manually complete the Loc field. In order to scan the location barcode on the Bin Location label correctly, the cursor on the screen must be in the Loc field.
4. Select OK or press Enter to validate your entries. Correct any errors and select OK or press Enter again to validate your changes.
5. Select OK or press Enter again to advance to the Bin Inquiry Display Screen.

3. Enter the UPC code for the item in the UPC field. Note: Include any leading zeros. For example, if the UPC code is 06012011, enter 06012011 and not 6012011.
4. Select OK or press Enter to validate your entries. Correct any errors and select OK or press Enter again to validate your changes.
5. Select OK or press Enter to advance to the Item Inquiry Display Screen.
