About the ERP Connection Status
Connection Status monitors the connection between Textura and your organization’s ERP system.
Use the Connection Status to view:
- The current ERP connection status
- The most recent connection error, when applicable
- The date and time of the last connection test
- The date and time when Textura last connected successfully
- A history of connection failures from the last 30 days.
Textura tests the connection every 10 minutes. You cannot start a test manually. After resolving an issue, wait for the next automatic test. Textura updates the status when it finishes.
The Connection Status monitors two parts of the integration connection:
- Integration Adapter to ERP: The adapter tests whether it can connect to the configured ERP system.
- Textura to Integration Adapter: Textura monitors whether the adapter service continues to communicate with Textura.
If the adapter cannot communicate with Textura, the panel shows Unable to connect to adapter service. This identifies an adapter-service connection problem; it does not confirm that the ERP system is unavailable.
What the Connection Status Feature Checks
The adapter checks the ERP connection using the configured connection and authentication settings. Textura separately checks whether the adapter communicates with Textura.
Depending on the adapter, the ERP health check may check:
- ERP service availability
- Database connectivity
- Authentication credentials
- Access to a required ERP API or web service
- Access to required ERP components or data locations.
The health check does not:
- Start, restart, or retry an import or export job
- Confirm that every integration job completed successfully
- Validate the contents of imported or exported records
- Confirm that a specific invoice, subcontract, change order, payment, or other record was processed
- Change ERP authentication or integration configuration
- Repair the connection automatically.
A connection can be available while a job fails because of a record, mapping, configuration, or validation error. If a job fails while the connection is available, review its results on the Integration Home page.
