Approving a Proposal

A project proposal may be approved after all the required fields have been entered.

  1. To approve a proposal, locate the appropriate proposal on the Proposals page.
  2. Click on the name of the project to view the proposal details.
  3. Click the Approve & Lock button.

If your system is configured to have a one-step workflow, you can click the Accept Proposal and Create Project from the Workflow pull-down menu.

  4. Enter the Actual Start Date and the Planned Project Close Date.
  5. Click the Accept Proposal and Create Project button.

Note: In the case of the two-step approval process, when a proposal is approved, it is locked. The Accept Proposal and Create Project button can then be clicked to create a project. Projects can be created from locked proposals, but the proposal details cannot be modified. A proposal can be re-opened for modification. Re-opened proposals must fulfill all sign-off and approval requirements before a project can be created for that proposal.
