Confirming Reservations

Reservation confirmations can be generated for any profile linked to the reservation; plus the Caller (available when Caller Info OPERA Control is active). 

Reservation confirmations can be previewed to print, emailed or delivered via SMS (Available when the Text message OPERA Control and integration to an SMS provider are active).

When delivered via email confirmations can be embedded HTML in the email body or sent as a PDF attachment. When the Multi-language OPERA Control is active the confirmation / cancellation templates listed are based on the language specified in the profile selected to receive the confirmation letter.

SMS confirmation delivery is also configured in Delivery Management.

You can setup default confirmation templates for each profile type in OPERA Controls. For more information, see OPERA Controls — Reservations.

When the multi-language OPERA Control is active the confirmation / cancellation templates listed are based on the language specified in the selected profile to receive the communication. See About Stationery Editor (Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher).

Adding a Reservation Confirmation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Click Email/Print.

    1. Send To: Select the recipient name; all profiles linked to the reservation are listed.

    2. To Email: Select the recipient email address if the selected profile has more than one email address.

      1. Click New/Edit Email to add an email address.

    3. Confirmation Letter: Select the template to generate from the list.

    4. Secondary letter 

    5. Send To: Select the recipient name; all profiles linked to the reservation are listed.

    6. To Email: Select the recipient email address if the selected profile has more than one email address.

      1. Click New/Edit Email to add an email address.

    7. Confirmation Letter. Select the template to generate from the list.

  5. Click Send to generate.

  6. Click Save to add to the reservation and transmit at a later time.

Customizing a Reservation Confirmation

Prior to sending you can customise a confirmation for a specific reservation.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Click Email/Print.
    1. Send To: Select the recipient name; all profiles linked to the reservation are listed.

    2. To Email: Select the recipient email address if the selected profile has more than one email address.

    3. Confirmation Letter: Select the template to generate from the list.

    4. Click Customize to launch the Rich Text Editor.
      1. Update details in the confirmation.

    5. Click OK to save changes.

  5. Click Send to generate.

  6. Click Save to add to the reservation and transmit at a later time.

Editing a Reservation Confirmation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Select a confirmation from the list, click Vertical Ellipse and select Edit.

  5. Update details.

  6. Click Save.

Previewing a Reservation Confirmation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Select a confirmation from the list, click Vertical Ellipse and select Preview.

Sending (Generating) a Reservation Confirmation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Select a confirmation from the list, click Vertical Ellipse and select Send.

Adding an SMS Reservation Confirmation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Click Vertical Ellipse and select Text.

    1. Send To: Select the recipient name; all profiles linked to the reservation are listed.

    2. To Mobile: Select the recipient mobile number if the selected profile has more than one number.

    3. Secondary

    4. Send To: Select the recipient name; all profiles linked to the reservation are listed.

    5. To Mobile: Select the recipient mobile number if the selected profile has more than one number.

  5. Click Send to transmit SMS.

  6. Click Save to add to the reservation and transmit at a later time.

Editing an SMS Reservation Confirmation

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Select a confirmation (text) from the list, click Vertical Ellipse and select Edit.

  5. Update details.

  6. Click Save.

Sending an SMS Reservation Confirmation 

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Select a confirmation (text) from the list, click Vertical Ellipse and select Send.

View Closing Script

Available when the Closing Script OPERA Control is active. See Closing Scripts.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select the reservation in the search result, click I Want to... then Confirmations or click the Confirmations link in Reservation Presentation.

  4. Click the Vertical Ellipse and select Closing Script.
