Using the Property Calendar Setup

The Property Calendar allows you to view and manage Calendar Events and Day Types (Available when the Day Types OPERA Control is active). Day Types are used to adjust (increase or decrease) the pricing schedule of selected rate codes by a flat amount or percentage on nominated dates. Select one of the view icons to change the calendar display.
  • Day: Show only one day at a time

  • Week: Show only one week at a time (this is the default view)

  • Month: Show one month at a time

  • List: Show the calendar events as separate lines in a list

For current and future dates the Maximum Availability figure is displayed in the top left corner of each date in the monthly and list views of the calendar. Double-click the Maximum Available figure to launch the Property Availability. For more information see, Availability page for the selected date.

Adding Events to the Calendar

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations Workspace, and then select Property Calendar.

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Start Date: Enter or select a start date- this defaults to the date selected on the calendar.

    2. End Date: Enter or select an end date.

    3. Event: Select an event from the list.

    4. Days of the Week: Select Days of the Week to specify on which days the selected event applies within the date range.

  3. Click Save.

Adding Day Types to the Calendar

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations Workspace, and then select Property Calendar.

  2. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Start Date: Enter or select a start date- this defaults to the date selected on the calendar.

    2. End Date: Enter or select an end date.

    3. Day Type: Select a day type from the list.

    4. Days of the Week: Select Days of the Week to specify on which days the selected event applies within the date range.

  3. Click Save.

Deleting Events from the Calendar

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations Workspace, and then select Property Calendar.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Event in the calendar, click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Delete.

  4. Confirm the date range for deletion.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.

Deleting Day Types from the Calendar

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations Workspace, and then select Property Calendar.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the Day Type in the calendar, click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Delete.

  4. Confirm the date range for deletion.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.
