Reservation Item Inventory

The item inventory feature enables you to manage the inventory items attached to a reservation. A reservation can have different items attached to it, such as equipment, products, supplies, or services that can be rented or sold to a guest. You can add or edit the attached items and check the availability of items within a particular property.

Item Inventory Availability

When you are checking whether specific items are available to accommodate a guest’s needs, the item inventory availability screen is a good place to start. For any given date, you can view the quantity of each item in a property’s inventory and the remaining quantity available. You can also view which reservations or block reservations have booked particular items. The quantity in inventory is established for each date in either or both of the following ways:
  • The physical quantity of items that are in stock.

  • Fluctuations in item inventory based on the date or range of dates. For example, when you keep more or less inventory on hand because of changing seasonal or weekend demand.

You define these quantities for items during the item inventory setup process.
