To configure a P6 EPPM and/or Primavera Unifier database connection for an Oracle database:
- Enter the following database information for your environment:
- For the Database Type, select the Oracle option.
Note: For Primavera Unifier, this is the only option available.
- In the Oracle Database Connection section:
- In the Host Name field, enter the server machine name or IP address where you installed the P6 EPPM or Primavera Unifier database.
- In the Port Number field, enter or verify the port number for this database. The default port number for Oracle is 1521.
- Enter the Service Name or SID for your P6 EPPM or Primavera Unifier instance. For example, dg4msql.
- In the Database Credentials section:
- In the Username field, enter your P6 EPPM reporting database name (for example, PXRPTUSER) or your Primavera Unifier database name (for example, Unifier).
- In the Password field, enter the password for the user.
- If you are using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), in the ODI Source Work Schema section:
- In the Username field, enter the name used for the ODI Source Work Schema.
- For the Database Type, select the Oracle option.
- Click Next to test the database connection and user credentials entered above.
If the test connection fails, ensure that you have entered all the information correctly and try again. If the test connection succeeds, the Configuration utility proceeds to the next screen.
