A.96 edit VmCloneCustomizer

Edits an existing clone customizer for a virtual machine.

Syntax

edit VmCloneCustomizer instance [ name=value ] [ description=value ]

Where instance is:

{ id=value | name=value }

Description

This command allows you to edit an existing clone customizer for a virtual machine.

Although none of the options are mandatory, you must supply at least one option.

Options

The following table shows the available options for this command.

Option	Description
`name=value`	A name to identify the clone customizer. Tip To find this name after the clone customizer has been created on a virtual machine, use the list VmCloneCustomizer command. You need the name or ID of this to delete a clone customizer from a virtual machine with the delete VmCloneCustomizer command.
`description=value`	Optional description for the clone customizer object. `value` is a maximum of 4,000 characters. To set an empty description, use `description="".`
{ `id=value` \| `name=value` }	The instance of the object using either the `id` or `name` option, for example `name=MyVMCloneCustomizer`.
