Working with Planning Dimensions

Following is a list of Planning application types and the number of dimensions each type can contain.

  • General Planning applications can contain thirty-two standard and custom dimensions. There are seven standard dimensions: Account, Entity, Scenario, Version, Period, Years, and Currency. In addition, general Planning applications can include up to and twenty-five custom dimensions.   • Multi-currency Planning applications can contain twenty-five custom dimensions and seven standard dimensions. The seven standard dimensions are: Scenario, Version, Entity, Account, Period, Year, and Currency.     Note:

    Single-currency Planning applications can contain twenty-five custom dimensions and six standard dimensions. The six standard dimensions are: Scenario, Version, Entity, Account, Period, and Year.

  • Workforce Planning and Capital Asset Planning applications can contain twenty-four custom dimensions and three standard dimensions. The three standard dimensions in Workforce Planning applications are: Account, Employee, and Job. The three standard dimensions inCapital Asset Planning applications are: Account, Asset Class, and Asset Detail.   • Public Sector Planning and Budgeting applications can contain twenty-one custom dimensions and eleven standard dimensions. The standard dimensions are: Account, Scenario, Version, Period, Year, Currency, Entity, Element, Budget Item, Request, Employee, Job Code, Position, and (for multi-currency applications only) HSP_Rates.   • Project Financial Planning applications can contain twenty-three custom dimensions and nine standard dimensions. The standard dimensions are; Account, Project, Project Element, Job, Employee, Asset Class, and Asset Detail. Note:

The total number of standard and custom dimensions for all Planning application types cannot exceed thirty-two.
