Case 1: Upgrade the Catalog

Use these instructions to upgrade the catalog.

As a standard practice, when you customize the ready-to-use content, save your content in a separate Custom folder. Ensure that you create reports under the Custom folder only. The Upgrade process preserves the content only in the Custom folder.

  1. Open the Analytics link for the environment with Oracle Analytics Server setup using the URL appropriate for your environment in the sample format, http://<hostname>:<port>/analytics.
  2. Click Catalog to view the content in the Shared Folders.
    Shared folders under Catalog
  3. Archive the custom content from the Analytics catalog of the environment with the Oracle Analytics Server setup:
    1. Select the Custom folder to be archived and then click Archive.
    2. Enable the check boxes to keep the permissions and timestamps.
