Create the ODI Repository

Create the ODI repository for Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3 PS4.

The steps to create the ODI repository for Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3 PS4 are the same as installing a fresh ODI repository. The only difference is that you need to only select the option to restore the ODI Master and Work repositories.

Run the Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3 PS4 RCU to create the schema for the ODI repository. This schema must use the same name as the 11.1.1.10.3 ODI repository schema that you dropped earlier. You must select the option to use an existing prefix and re-use the same prefix that was used by the schema that was previously dropped.

  1. If you aren’t running RCU on the database host machine, then you must copy the obia_odi.dmp file to a directory with global write access on the appropriate database server machine. RCU writes log files to this directory. The .dmp file is located in $NEW_ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/rcu/integration/biapps/schema.
  2. Launch the Oracle BI Applications RCU for 11.1.1.10.3 PS4
    $NEW_ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/bin/rcu -compInfoXMLLocation
     $NEW_ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/rcu/config/ComponentInfo_biapps.xml -storageXMLLocation
    $NEW_ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/rcu/config/Storage_biapps.xml
  3. Select Create Repository.
  4. In the Database Connection Details screen, provide the connection details to the database which previously hosted the ODI repository for Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3 which you dropped earlier.
  5. In the Select Components screen, from the Select an existing Prefix list, select the same prefix as that of your ODI repository for Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3. If you don't see the prefix as an existing prefix, then click Create a new Prefix, and enter the same prefix you used for the ODI repository for Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3.
  6. Select Oracle Data Integration Master and Work Repository. Don't select any other component.
  7. In the Custom Variables page, in the Value field, for the <prefix>_BIA_ODIREPO schema, enter the directory path of the folder on the database server that contains the obia_odi.dmp file.

    Note:

Don’t include the name of the .dmp file in the directory path.
  8. Complete the ODI repository creation.
  9. Start all services.
    Command: <DOMAIN_HOME>/bi/bitools/bin/start.sh
  10. Create a connection in ODI Studio to the ODI repository for Oracle BI Applications 11.1.1.10.3 PS4 which you created in the previous step. The repository is set to Internal Authentication.
  11. Log in to Master repository as SUPERVISOR user and update the Work Repository connection details.
