Visualize Historical Replenishment Lead Time Trend for Item at Point of Use in Kanban Dashboard

Visualize replenishment lead time trend for an item at a point of use from the Replenishment Lead Time tab of the Kanban Dashboard. Users can review total lead time for every replenishment cycle for each Kanban card, stacked by elapsed time in each card supply status change.
Before this enhancement, users could view only the average lead time of all replenishment cycles in the dashboard. The detailed trend view helps planners find where lead time is increasing and which supply-status stage contributes most to the cycle time.

View Replenishment Lead Time: Click this link to view the replenishment cycle time trend for an item pull sequence in the View Replenishment Lead Time drawer. The Replenishment Lead Time chart shows the supply status of each Kanban card and tracks the duration of the card in each status (elapsed time) along with the number of replenishment cycles. You can view the cycle time break up by the card supply status. Card supply statuses use predefined color indicators. You can view data for the top 100 cards at a time.

Steps to enable and configure

  1. Apply the Oracle Inventory Management Command Center update that delivers historical replenishment cycle time in the Kanban Dashboard and confirm the required Oracle Enterprise Command Center Framework level is installed and enabled.
  2. Schedule the Create Kanban Replenishment Snapshot program to run daily to display the line graphs for on hand, safety stock, and daily demand quantities. You must run the Create Kanban Replenishment Snapshot program before you run the Electronic Kanban ECC Data Load concurrent program.
  3. Confirm that Kanban card supply status changes and replenishment cycle history are captured for the items and points of use in scope.
  4. Validate the Replenishment Lead Time tab with representative Kanban cards and replenishment cycles.

Tips and considerations

  • Confirm that organization, subinventory, item, and responsibility security match the business audience for the dashboard before broad rollout.
  • Use selected refinements and result-table drilldowns during testing so users can move from a summary metric to the transaction or setup page where action is taken.
  • Use stacked elapsed-time detail to isolate whether delays are occurring in transit, wait, consolidation, or other supply statuses.
  • Compare trend results across cards for the same point of use before changing replenishment rules.
