Create Requisitions for PO Move Resources Without Initiating Workflow

You can now create purchase requisitions for purchase order (PO) move resources without initiating workflows. 

Set the WIP: Enable Outside Processing Workflows profile option to No and the WIP: Launch Requisition Import for PO Move profile option to Yes to ensure that the Requisition Import program runs automatically for purchase order move transactions but stops outside processing workflow notifications.  

Once you setup the profile options, use the following steps to create requisitions for PO move resources without initiating a workflow:

  1. Create a discrete job with PO move resources.
  2. Perform OSP move transactions.
  3. The OSP move transactions, triggers the Requisition Import concurrent program to run.
  4. Verify that no workflow notifications are sent.

Prior to this release, creating requisitions for move resources triggered multiple workflow notifications.

This feature ensures that workflow notifications are not sent when creating purchase requisitions for PO Move resources avoiding the multiple notifications that could introduce delays or unnecessary approval steps in certain scenarios.

Steps to enable and configure

You must set up the following profile options to create purchase requisitions for PO move resources without initiating workflows:

Profile Option Name Description
WIP:Launch Requisition Import for PO Move

This profile option controls whether to run the Requisition Import program automatically for purchase order move resources and has the following values:

Yes - Select this value to automatically launch the Requisition Import program for PO move transactions.
No - Select this value to ensure that the Requisition Import program is not automatically launched for PO move transactions.
WIP: Enable Outside Processing Workflows

This profile option determines whether or not outside processing workflows are enabled and runs the Requisition Import program automatically for purchase order move transactions and has the following values:

Yes - This value ensures all outside processing workflows are enabled and the Requisition Import program automatically runs for PO move transactions. This is the default value.
No - This value ensures that no outside processing workflows are enabled and that the Requisition Import program is not launched automatically for PO move transactions.
