Transact LPN Assembly Completions for Dual UOM Items in WMS-Enabled Organizations
You can now use dual unit of measure enabled items as assembly item and component items for WMS LPN assembly completions in Oracle Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA). Prior to this release, support for dual UOM items was restricted for LPN assembly completion transactions, often requiring manual workarounds to manage items with multiple measurement units.
You can use the MSCA interface to fetch the job or schedule details when the assembly item is dual UOM enabled in following menu actions in the MSCA Warehouse Management responsibility:
- Assembly completion
- Flow completion (by Assembly, by Schedule, by Express Flow)
- Order-Less
To perform LPN Assembly Completions for dual UOM items in WMS-enabled organizations:
- Create a discrete job or flow schedule or a work orderless completion transaction with dual UOM enabled assembly item.
- Use Oracle Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA) to perform:
- LPN assembly completions
- Material transactions
- View material transaction details.
- View on hand quantities for the items in Inventory.
This feature ensures that you can perform LPN assembly completions with dual UOM enabled items in WMS organizations. Prior to this release, dual UOM items were not supported for LPN assembly transactions in WMS-enabled organizations.
Steps to enable and configure

Tips and considerations
- Define dual UOM enabled items. It is mandatory to set the following definitions:
- Tracking as “Primary and Secondary”.
- Select Primary UOM and Secondary UOM.
- Select Defaulting as Fixed, Default, or No Default.
- Select Conversions as Standard, Item-specific, or Both.
- Mandatorily define UOM conversion for transacting dual UOM enabled items for discrete jobs:
- Standard
- Item-specific
- Lot-specific
- Define Bills of Material with assembly and component items.
