Update Service Request Notes
Support agents can now update service request notes in the following interfaces:
- Service Request window, Workbench tab, Description text box
- Customer Support HTML Update Service Request page, Notes region, Note text box
Prior to this release, updating service request notes was not supported through TeleService user interfaces, which could lead to outdated or incomplete information being referenced during service interactions. This feature improves accuracy and relevance of service request documentation, facilitating better communication and decision-making among service teams. It addresses the industry need for dynamic record-keeping in service management, supporting use cases such as adding follow-up details or clarifications to existing notes during ongoing service request resolution. Implementation considerations include configuring appropriate security privileges to control who can update notes and ensuring that updates are tracked for audit purposes.
Feature Description
To enable agents to update service request notes in both UIs, the system administrator must assign the JTF_NOTE_UPDATE_NOTES function security privilege to relevant menus.

Steps to enable and configure
- Ensure that the system administrator assigns the JTF_NOTE_UPDATE_NOTES function security privilege to relevant menu, for example, Service Requests to enable the updating of service request notes.
- Verify access to the interfaces where updates are supported: Service Request Forms UI (Subject tab) and Customer Support HTML Update Service Request page (Notes region).
