Caps

1. Save Lease Cap History

Blank: Save lease cap history.

1: Do not save lease cap history.

Note: You must save a cap history to determine new caps in subsequent years.
2. Lease Cap History Retrieval

Specify a batch number that contains the lease cap history information that the system needs to calculate current cap information. If you leave this field blank, the system uses the first prior year lease cap history record that is locates.

3. E.P. Class Expenses History Retrieval

Specify a batch number that contains the expenses history information that the system needs to determine initial cap basis information. If you leave this processing option blank, the system uses the first prior year expenses history record that it locates.

4. Lease Cap Exclusion Option

There are two parts to Expense Participation cap processing; E.P. class level and lease level. Account overrides on the E.P. class allow you to specify whether certain accounts are subject to cap. The system considers these overrides during E.P. class-level cap processing. By default, these specifications do not carry over to the lease for lease-level cap processing. By default, whether an account is Subject to Cap for lease-level cap processing is not specified on the E.P. class, but is specified on the lease.

Specify whether to carry over the Subject to Cap setting for an account from the E.P. class and use the same Subject to Cap setting for lease-level cap processing. Values are:

Blank: Do not consider the E.P. class-level Subject to Cap setting on an account for lease-level cap processing. Use the Subject to Cap setting on the lease.

1: Consider the E.P. class-level Subject to Cap setting on an account for lease-level cap processing. Ignore the Subject to Cap setting on the lease.

5. Cap Base Index Month

Specify which period the system uses to calculate the cap percentage base index month. Values are:

Blank: The system uses the period that is entered in the Billing Period Number processing option as the cap percentage base index month.

1: The system uses the period that is entered in the Cap Index Month field in the Cap Rules program (P1515) to calculate the cap percentage base index month.

If you enter 1 in this processing option, verify that there is a value in the Cap Index Month field. If there is no value in the Cap Index Month field, the system does not calculate the cap percentage base index month.
