Navigating to Base Applications from Charts (Release 9.2 Update)

Some of the charts enable you to navigate to the applications on which the charts are based. You can access the application and then further analyze the data or take any required action. Access the application and view filtered data and metrics by using one of these options:

  • Double-click a bar, line, or a pie slice on the chart

  • Double-click a legend

  • Double-click the bar label in the X-axis or Y-axis

  • Click the chart title

  • Click the application name in the chart menu

  • Click the Details icon in the chart menu

Keep these considerations in mind when you navigate from a chart:

  • Static legend: If the chart contains calculated data, you cannot navigate to the application on which the chart is based when you double-click a legend or a bar label in the X-axis or Y-axis.

  • Run When Selected: If the Run When Selected option for the query used in the chart is not selected, you must click Find in the application to view the data.

  • Default branch/plant: If you set a default branch/plant value in the Default Location and Printers program (P400951), the system may display discrepancies in the data when you access the application from the chart. Therefore, clear the default value from the Branch/Plant field and click Find to view the data.
